Beverley and East Riding Golf Club was formed in 1889 - making it the oldest inland club in Yorkshire! The 18-hole course is one of Yorkshire's finest and most natural layouts, enjoying outstanding views of the town and surrounding countryside from many vantage points.
Beverley Golf Club required a single Epos system to be programmed with all their drinks and food. On ordering, the customer needed the orders to go straight through to the kitchen.
Being a member’s club, each member has a membership card which entitles them to discounted products, so it was important to be able to quickly give the correct price to their customers.
The club committee also wanted the ability for the club management and staff to be able to view the sales and membership card balances from the back office.
Our solution was to set up and install a single epos system, fully programmed to the customer’s specification with a card reader. Each staff member was allocated a staff card, set up in accordance with their authority i.e. manager, assistant manager etc., with the manager being allocated more card features eg ability to authorise refunds, no sales etc.
We also provided new member’s cards, which, when swiped, would allow members to add money value to their cards and be given discounted products.
A kitchen printer was also installed. This allowed hot drinks and food to be ordered at the bar, and the order would then automatically print in the kitchen, saving time and avoiding written mistakes. The tickets are issued in numerical order, allowing the kitchen staff to process the orders in a timely manner.
To complete the installation, we set up and installed a Cloud Back Office software, meaning that the office staff and management can view live sales, members balances, staff sales and stock sold. This facility can also be used to update products, prices etc.
