The Bar Public is an underground speakeasy-style bar that has been carved out of the former public toilets that have lived underneath Sheffield’s Town Hall since the 1890s. Serving deli food, cocktails and drinks, Bar Public is perfect for those little get-togethers.
The Public required a similar, but smaller, Epos system for their underground bar. As they had previously used our company before, they got in touch with us straight away to arrange a meeting and demonstration of our new equipment.
We introduced them to our Digi-pos tablet system. This system works the same as an epos system, only the screen is much smaller - like a tablet, and you can use it like a hand-held system – meaning staff can take drink orders at the customers table and process everything there and then without having to go back to the bar.
The Digi-pos tablet system is linked to a receipt printer behind the bar for the customer receipts and linked to a kitchen printer for the chefs to prepare the order of food.
The owners of the Public Bar were impressed by the Digi-pos tablet and gave us the go ahead to start programming their products onto the system.
Both ourselves and The Public bar were happy with the overall outcome of the Digi-pos tablet and how it benefits the small but unique bar.
